HAP, situated in “Zilverpand”, is easy accessible. The place is not huge, but definitely cosy. You can choose your own seat at the table, or in a nice little corner in one of the vintage seats. But first you have to order at the bar.
With the first spring sun, everybody wants to go out. So yesterday, we jumped on our bikes in order to load up our volume of vitamine D. We had a lunch stop at Fort Van Beieren (Gemeneweidstraat in Koolkerke), a nice place on the outside of town.
The ‘Eiermarkt’ is the place to be for the young crowd. Especially in the week-end this is a very popular square. I recently discovered that’s it’s also nice to sit there on a terrace during the day and early evening. One of the nice places to visit is Het Hof van Rembrandt.
Restaurant Den Heerd was for years a well-known name in Damme. Recently the owners decided to move to Bruges and start the restaurant over again in hotel Montanus ! The transformation of the new restaurant works well. The interior design has a nice modern touch, with shades of black, orange and brown.
